Homemade Microdermabrasion Scrub
Try a cheap and sweet substitute for expensive microdermabrasion treatments in beauty salons.
Microdermabrasion is a technique that stimulates skin renewal by removing dead cells from the skin surface. This way the creation of new, young skin cells and its renewal and rejuvenation is stimulated. Beauty salons promise to solve wrinkles, acne scars, enlarged pores, freckles, dry skin, excessive accumulation of dead cells, stretch marks, etc. with microdermabrasion. Why give so much money to beauty salons when you can get a very similar effect at home? I will describe to you my sweet "treatment" that I love doing.
You will need:
- Vaseline
- granulated sugar
- honey
- small plate
- something to mix with, for example, a toothpick, or your fingers
Take a large spoon and grab some honey, then put it on the plate.
Grab Vaseline with your fingers and mix with honey.
Then add a small spoon of sugar and stir it well.
You'll notice that the mixture is blurrier than in the beginning.
What I do next is toning the face and then take a little of this mixture and gently rub in a circular motion on my face. This is actually peeling due to sugar crystals. If you want stronger scrub, use a coarse sugar. Honey is here to feed your skin, especially new cells, which will come out to the surface after peeling. Vaseline moisturizes the skin and keeps the mixture homogeneous and compact. Except for the facial skin, you can use this as a peeling for lips. Circular movements are also a facial massage which stimulates circulation, and thus renews the skin. Furthermore, when I wash my face, I do this with circling movements. The skin will be soft and gentle.
You can do this every two weeks, or as it suits you. I do this every ten days, and sometimes every week. When you wash it, always dry the face by gentle tapping with a towel because the skin is sensitive. Then apply a day cream and Vaseline on the lips (or a lip balm).
And that's it:)
What do you think? Will you try it?
